Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled or cold brew
  • ¼ –½ cup milk or cream to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 –2 teaspoons sugar or sweetener adjust to taste
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Brew the coffee and let it cool completely (or use cold brew).
  • In a glass or small pitcher, stir together the coffee, ground cardamom, and sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  • Pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
  • Top with milk or cream and stir gently.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly ground cardamom for the best aroma.
  • If your coffee is still warm, let it cool fully before pouring over ice so it doesn’t water down too much.
  • Adjust sweetness to your taste or skip the sugar if you prefer it unsweetened.

Tips:
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract.
  • Use your favorite plant-based milk if you prefer it dairy-free.
  • Garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom on top.

Recipe Twist Ideas:
  • Chai Iced Coffee: Add a pinch of cinnamon and ginger along with the cardamom.
  • Coconut Cardamom Iced Coffee: Use chilled coconut milk for a tropical flavor.
  • Honey Sweetened: Swap sugar for a spoon of honey for a softer sweetness.
  • Cardamom Mocha: Stir in a teaspoon of cocoa powder for a chocolatey touch.
  • Frozen Version: Blend everything with ice to make a cardamom coffee frappe.
